    Gi and sss self illum material?

    Hi all, 

    playing with b2 for rhino materials I faced this weird behaviour:

    I'm using PaulS' scene for a bit of testing. So the scene is lit by a point light and hdr textured skylight. The material is an advanced material with b2 sss texture in luminosity #, sss intensity=5, sss depth 50, kl=5. The material looks ok with gi off, but it becomes a dull grey if I turn gi on (all qmc sampler checks disabled). I was expecting it to emit light - behaves like that in max. The only way to let it behave as expected is to turn on the qmc sampler's skylight check.

    The point light is only adding specular - no illumination from it so there would be no source of illumination for the SSS without the skylight active.

     Sorry, I've not been clear - the direct light's skylight is always active. What I change is the gi (toggle it on/off) and the qmc sampler's skylight check (i.e., the indirect light generated by skylight). Anyway I was wrong: It behaves like that in max too. I'll ask if it's an expected behaviour or not.

     Looks like a bug to me - if I turn on gi, skylight's direct lighting is still there (as expected), what disappears is the sss effect - weird.
