    Fresnel Blend issue

B15 is looking great! Thanks for the Blend shaders...they are very useful. If I turn on the Skylight for direct illumination I get a wonderful ambient occlusion but if I attach the Fresnel Blend to an object which previously had the AO, it immediately looses that ability. Turning on GI restores the AO quality. I have a feature request. When dragging one material from one slot to another it would be nice to have a pop-up asking to exchange or replace the slots.

    Hi Paul,

Do you currently use the ctrl or alt key when dragging between slots? This will create a copy or a linked instance of whatever it is you're dragging.

No, I haven't been....thanks for pointing it out:-). I think I remember reading about it somewhere. I guess I'm just so used to the automatic dialog which Max throws up when dragging a material or slot.

I just tried using the alt and ctrl on the color slots within the shadow/light texture with no difference in previous behaviour. With new materials in the slots I get a copy happening but no swap if I want.

I see what you mean now Paul. Perhaps the Shift key can be used to swap two channels... I'll ask Andy.

Working with complete materials works great! I really think there should be an optional dialog pop-up (telling wheter one is about to copy or instance) which could be turned off as a user gains more familiarity.
