    More gamma issues

I think something has changed since the last time i tried to use textures with rhino and brazil.

This image is rendered using the default rhino render with the gamma output set to 1 and the gamma of the texture in the adjustment panel set to 1:

This image has the gamma output set to 2.2 and the gamma texture set to 0.45 (1/2.2). Everything seems fine:

    Now in Brazil:

This image has the gamma output set to 1 and texture gamma set to 1:

This image has the gamma output set to 2.2 and texture gamma set to 0.45:

Pick the odd one out. I don't think that's the way it should behave. If i inverse the gamma of the image manually in photoshop first it renders correctly.

It sounds to me like we managed to break the image gamma controls.  Are you using Rhino 4.0 or 5.0 ?

    Re: More gamma issues

I'm just bumping this thread since i'm running to this bug again. Any fix for this on the horizon?

Can we still predict the behaviour of gamma setting even if its broken? like for example, if the gamma is (erroneously) applied twice, i just have to divide the actual value in half to get the correct result. I don't think that's the case, but maybe something similar.
